Lindsay

I’m Lindsay, the owner of Bowerman Artistry & Training Academy (formerly Michiana Microblading), and together with my husband Jordan, we serve clients, train students, and speak on stages across the U.S. Our specialty at Bowerman Artistry is "Mastering Mature Skin." While we work with all skin types, we have a particular focus and skillset in mature skin.
We’re proud parents to three amazing children—one boy and two girls—whom we homeschool, embracing every moment of this wonderfully busy season of life. In 2024, we expanded our business with a second location in Sarasota, Florida, where we travel monthly to serve clients.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Art, which has given me a unique edge in the Permanent Makeup (PMU) industry. Since PMU is an aesthetic art, my background in color theory, symmetry, and design has been invaluable. I started my journey in the beauty industry in 2012 as a nail technician, and when I discovered microblading in 2016, I was hooked! So much has changed since then—let me share a bit more.
I was the first artist to introduce and specialize in microblading in the Michiana area. My passion for learning has taken me all over the U.S. to train, speak at conferences, and study under world-renowned artists. I’m committed to staying on top of the latest techniques and trends so my clients and students always get the best.
The reason I entered the beauty industry is simple—I love helping people feel beautiful. Empowering women and boosting their confidence is what drives me, and I feel blessed to call this my job.
**Achievements:**
- After years of training and seeing the growing demand for PMU courses, we opened our own Training Academy in Indiana.
- In 2024, we expanded into Sarasota, Florida, opening a second location.
- Since 2016, we’ve proudly sponsored the Mrs. & Miss Indiana & Michigan Pageants.
- We’ve been honored to be part of the Tina Davies PRO Team from 2022 through 2024. Out of hundreds of global applicants, we were handpicked by a world-renowned artist to join this elite team of top industry leaders.
- We’re excited to be personally selected and invited to speak on stages together, sharing our expertise on the often-untouched topic of Mature Skin, and helping artists from all over the world embrace this rewarding challenge.
Jordan

Hello! My name is Jordan, and I’m Lindsay’s husband. You might be wondering, “Why is a guy doing permanent makeup?” Well, let me share a bit about my story and how I ended up joining Lindsay in the world of PMU.
First off, people are usually surprised by my height—so let me save you the shock—I’m 6’7”, and trust me, you won’t miss me! I grew up playing basketball and always had a deep passion for sports. I was fortunate enough to receive a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Bethel University, which is where Lindsay and I met. She was also there on a full scholarship, playing volleyball, and that’s where our journey began.
After we got married in 2014, I tried a few different jobs, but none of them really clicked. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sports Management, and while I absolutely love sports, the demanding schedule didn’t align with the family life I wanted. I wanted more time with my family, not less.
As Lindsay’s microblading business grew and she became increasingly busy, she started thinking about what the next step for her business would be. During this time, she was praying for clear direction and guidance. She even considered hiring someone, but it didn’t feel right. She then began praying that I would develop a passion for PMU and that I’d join her in the business. When she first shared this “dream” with me, I have to admit—I laughed! I was skeptical and hesitant, but I kept an open mind and prayed that either my heart or hers would change. Well, God changed mine, and now here we are, chasing our dreams, spending more time with our family, and giving praise and glory to our Heavenly Father for this incredible journey.
**Achievements:**
- Together, we’ve been training artists for several years, and after recognizing the need for more permanent makeup training courses, we decided to open our own Training Academy.
- We’ve proudly sponsored the Mrs. & Miss Indiana & Michigan Pageants, working with these beauty queens before they compete in the Mrs. & Miss America and Worlds Pageants.
- We are honored to have been selected for the Tina Davies PRO Team for 2022, 2023, and 2024. Tina Davies, a legend in the PMU industry, handpicked us out of hundreds of global applicants! The PRO Team is made up of some of the most skilled PMU artists worldwide, and we’re beyond proud to be part of this group.
- This year, we’ve had the privilege of speaking together at multiple events, the biggest and largest conference in North America!

Hey, my name is Joy, and I’m the Communication Assistant here at Bowerman Artistry. If you’re emailing, texting, or calling us, chances are I’m the one you’re chatting with! Along with connecting with our amazing clients, I also get to use my passion for marketing and design to support Bowerman’s creative vision. I absolutely love being part of such a talented team and helping make every client’s experience feel special!
A little about me: I was born and raised in Texas, where I spent most of my life before moving to Indiana to attend Grace College and Theological Seminary. Before college, I launched my own small business making handmade earrings, growing it to a following of over 16k and gaining valuable experience in branding, design, and client connection.
At Grace, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a minor in Photography. I graduated in just 2.5 years summa cum laude while balancing three jobs: working as a graphic designer for the marketing team, serving as a media specialist for the School of Arts & Humanities, and doing freelance design jobs.
Shortly after graduating, my husband (fun fact: we met at Grace College because we shared the exact same major and minor!) and I moved to the Elkhart area, where I discovered Bowerman Artistry. From the moment I learned about this incredible team, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I joined in June and immediately fell in love with the opportunity to serve and support everyone who walks through our doors!
It’s truly a joy (pun intended!) to be here, and I’m so grateful to be part of your journey with us!
Dr. Jeffery Smith MD
Medical Director | Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Jeffery Smith brings over 20 years of medical expertise to the Bowerman Artistry team as our Medical Director, ensuring the highest standards of safety, care, and professionalism across all advanced procedures.
A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Smith has built his career around helping individuals look and feel their best inside and out. Based in Crown Point, Indiana, he is affiliated with Franciscan Health Crown Point and Memorial Hospital of South Bend, where he has earned a reputation for compassionate care and excellence in family medicine.
At Bowerman Artistry, Dr. Smith provides medical oversight and guidance for treatments that require clinical precision, supporting our team as we deliver transformative beauty and wellness services. His deep understanding of health, skin physiology, and patient safety helps ensure every service is performed with confidence and integrity.
Outside of the clinical setting, Dr. Smith is known for his calm, caring nature and his genuine dedication to patient well-being. His partnership with our studio allows us to combine artistry with advanced medical care, creating results that are both safe and beautifully natural.
Tatiana

Hey! I’m Tatiana, my friends and family call me Tati for short. I was born and raised in Goshen, Indiana. I like taking on many new hobbies but my go to is and always will be is painting. I’m totally not artistic either, I could never match Picasso but thats what makes it fun! And of course we cannot forget to put on a Disney movie in the background! I love traveling, my whole life I’ve always traveled and as a young adult I’ve been able to continue that. I still have few states to knock off my bucket list but the goal is all 50 states! Then who knows, maybe the rest of the world.
I went to Northwood High school and graduated in 2017. Like a good handful of us in the world, I had no idea what I was going to do after graduation. I took a year break after graduating, worked part time in retail and thought hmmm, the world is all about business, business administration degree it is.… it was not for me. I still struggled on what my passion was but during the meantime I love working my retail job. I loved the customer service part of it, I loved being able to help people make their shopping experience great and I mean…..what girl isn’t gonna love shopping plus discounts. Where do I sign???
As much as I loved retail I needed to keep searching for my passion. I went from retail store, to factory, to CSR, sales and marketing rep, bank teller, back to retail, back to factory and it just wasn’t working out for me.
Finally I decided to take an eyelash extension course and I just was amazed. Something had just clicked so I became certified, and have been doing lashes on and off while working in a factory. I wanted to try and make a career from it but just didn’t know how. To be entirely honest, I didn’t know the extend of the beauty world. I only knew about hair and nails and neither ever intrigued me. Then I learned about the Esthetics world and just how much there is and I thought hey, let me give it a try and just see. Of course I had to put into consideration how much time and money I was investing so I did just that. I quit my factory job and decided I want to go back to school full time and see what happens.
Stephanie

Hi! I'm Stephanie. I am a Michigan native, and I graduated from The Skin Institute in St Louis Missouri in 2012. I've actually always wanted to be a Dental hygienist, but as the mother of three young children I thought school would be too much. Instead, while working in an Optometrist's office in Mishawaka I decided to get my degree in Medical Assisting. I was grateful for the knowledge but I didnt feel passionate about it so I stayed home with my children. Once they grew up I went back to school for Dental hygeine but as many of us do, I found my husband online! Shortly after moving to St. Louis and while deciding where to continue Dental hygeine classes I came across an Esthetics school, had my first facial and knew I was on the right path.
After graduation I spent five years as as Lead Esthetician and laser technician in a Med Spa then later became the Owner/Operator of Stephesthetics, a five star business in St. Louis, MO. I specialized in anti-aging and acne treatments and full body/facial/brow waxing. I also hold many certifications. My passion continues to be mature skin, microneedling and manual face lifting massage, but love treating every kind of skin!
I recently moved back to the area to be closer to family where I am am other of three, grandmother of five, and cat mom to Lucy and Lyla. I love reading; the more suspenful the better! I also enjoy wine tasting and spending time outside; particularly the beach and I am on a mission to visit every one of Lake Michigan beaches with that guy who drew me to St. Louis, now my husband of 15 years.
